TITLE: Barista Server (Part-time)
STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Café Manager

Purpose
As a café server, you are responsible for selling and providing exceptional customer service, while honoring our café standards. You should make the café experience interactive and engaging, by enthusiastically sharing your knowledge about our café products and services. You should strive to make every customer experience pleasant.
Position Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service that ensures sales and high levels of customer satisfaction. Execute café service standards, greet customers with a warm welcome, recommend add-ons, personalize the customer’s order, offer a membership, and always thank the customer. Proactively engage the customer in conversations about our café products, services, and promotions to determine their needs. Ensure that all customer transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare and serve drinks/food in accordance with our café standards and health code. Perform all support tasks in the café, including baking, completing prep sheets, cleaning cases/equipment, and stocking displays. Use the maintenance checklists throughout the day to maintain café cleanliness. Drive sales by engaging all customers in our café with the sampling of café products. Ensure execution and compliance with operational standards for the café. Perform opening and closing tasks. Protect company assets by ensuring accurate execution of loss prevention procedures: including cash register and inventory standards, waste logs monitoring, sample recording, coupon redemption discounts, and return policies.
Help train new café servers, ensuring a smooth acclimation to the store and our culture. Assist in any area of the store as needed. Must have a passion for selling and strong communication skills. Will spend the majority of the time on the selling floor, which requires physical activity. Must have open availability on early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to align with store needs.
Educational and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred. Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.

Must possess basic point of sale skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to perform well under pressure
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to create effective working relationships with the public.
